Paul Kawamoto is Director, Corporate Development Department at ITOCHU Corporation. He is responsible for creating ITOCHU’s new business initiatives in sustainable energy infrastructure including energy IoT, and mobility. He is also CFO for ITOCHU’s corporate venture capital entity investing in VC funds and startup companies.
Background
Prior to the current position, he was actively involved in the development and implementation of cross-border new market development and entry strategies for over 27 years through strategic alliance and M&A efforts in sectors such as cleantech, IT, retail, food, media, machinery, pharmaceutical , retail, and private equity. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of Political Science & Economics at Korea University, after attending Catholic Medical University in Korea.
