Sota Okano is Senior Specialist, Next Generation Business Group for ITOCHU International. He is responsible for strategic investments in venture capital funds and startup companies as well as business development with startups in emerging technology.
Background
Prior to his current position, he was in charge of venture investments for ITOCHU Corporation from 2015, investing in venture capital funds and startup companies. He led efforts in creating business synergies with new portfolio companies and ITOCHU group companies. In 2019, he was responsible for sales of the creative team developing IT Systems and Digital Solutions at ITOCHU Interactive Corporation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in law at Osaka University.
