Tetsuo Yamada is General Manager, IT Business Section No.2, Information Technology Business Department, ICT Division, ICT & Financial Business Company for ITOCHU Corporation. His responsibility includes overseeing ITOCHU’s key IT subsidiary Tetsuo, ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (CTC), which is one of the largest systems integrators in Japan with offices in North America and Asia.
Background
Prior to his current position, Tetsuo Yamada was responsible for formulating ITOCHU’s new corporate strategies including digital transformation, and sustainability. From 2018 to 2021, he was a Senior Manager at ITOCHU International Inc. in Silicon Valley, spearheading ITOCHU’s startup investments in the US and enhancing venture capital relationships. From 2014-2016, he was seconded to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and concerted his efforts in the creation and implementation of Japan’s new economic policies in the artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) sector. Throughout his career, he has been engaged in new business development and launch across the IT sector. He earned his master’s degree in engineering from Waseda University.
