Tokuichiro Yoshimura is Deputy General Manager, Research & Business Development Division, and General Manager, Corporate Development Department for ITOCHU Corporation. He is responsible for ITOCHU’s new advanced business initiatives including digital transformation, and new cross-Company business opportunities in the areas of i) mobility and energy, ii) new materials and decarbonization, iii) bio-healthcare, and iv) fintech and Web 3.0. He also leads ITOCHU’s corporate venture capital activities with over $100M in strategic investments.
Background
Prior to his current position, Yoshimura served as Vice President of East Asia Bloc (South China) and Managing Director of ITOCHU Hong Kong Ltd., spearheading ITOCHU’s new business initiatives in East Asia. From 2017 to 2018, Yoshimura was Senior Officer of ICT & Financial Business Company responsible for launching new financial services business in Asia. From 2015 to 2017, as Deputy CFO of ICT, General Products & Realty Company, he was responsible for overseeing the company’s $11B business operations. He has also held senior financial management positions in New York and London, engaging in hedge fund investment business and investment banking services for ITOCHU group companies. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Kyoto University.
